PSARA Registration

What exactly is a PSARA licence?

A PSARA licence is required for any agency that wants to employ security guards or provide security-related assistance. Private security agencies that offer security services, including guard training, must register with the Private security agencies regulatory Act, 2005.

Procedure for Obtaining a PSARA License

Step 1: Documents That Meet the Requirements

The initial stage in applying for a PSARA Permission is to gather all necessary enrolments, for example, a Pan Card, a TAN Number, PF, GST, ESI, foundation registration under the Shops and Establishments Act, and each proprietor's ITR.

Step 2: Memorandum of Understanding including A Training Institute

The candidates must enter into a MOU with a coaching institute or organisation approved by the state exercising controlling jurisdiction to impart security guard training. As a result, each state views security preparation establishments differently.

Step 3: Verification by the police

The applicant applies to police confirmation in Form – I. If the candidate is a business, organisation, or another type of relationship, a separate check structure will be petitioned for each accomplice or chief.

Step 4: Application Submission

The PSARA application is filed with the PSARA's regulating authority, which subsequently prepares it for review. Following receipt of the NOC from the appropriate Police specialists, the supervisory authority may either grant the License or deny it with justification.

Step 5: Appropriate Time for The PSARA To Be Issued

The procedure for granting a PSARA licence will take approximately 60 days from the date of documenting the PSARA application. Additionally, a licence application can be completed for a locality, five areas, or a state. However, each state has its application method.

Step 6: States Where the PSARA Licence Is Issued

The PSARA establishes the security watch's criteria, capacity, and exclusions. Additionally, the candidate must communicate with superiors to regulate the security watches. Individuals with at least three years of experience in the military, naval force, or aviation corps must be inclined.
