Drug License

Application for a Drug License

A Drug License Application is a request made under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act for permission to conduct a drug/medicine or cosmetic company. According to the 1940 Drugs and Cosmetics Act, such licences are granted by the Central or State Drug Standard Control Organization.

Procedure for Submitting a Drug License Application

To finish your Drug Licence Application Procedure, go to the following steps:

Step 1: Register

To begin, the applicant must get a User ID and Password in person by submitting a request letter along with the firm's details.

Step 2: New License or License Renewal

There are two alternatives available: one for current licence holders and another for new applicants. Selecting any of the selections will take the applicant to a page for information specification, which must be completed and saved correctly. Within 24 hours, the user's User ID and Password will be sent to the user's registered mobile phone number.

Step 3: Login with your User ID and Password.

The user may then log in to the portal using their login and password.

Step 4: Construct an online application

Select the 'prepare/edit online application' option in the page's left-hand corner. Nowadays, drug licence applications are submitted online, including payment of the government fee. Additionally, all documents are scanned and uploaded at the time of application submission. However, the inspector verifies all records filed.

Step 5: Documentation

The most critical phase in acquiring a drug licence is document preparation, which includes creating a basic plan and a site plan and numerous affidavits and declarations required by law.

Step 6: Inspection

After applying for a drug licence, the application is marked for scrutiny. Subsequently, the drug inspector pays a physical visit to the shop to verify the authenticity of the documents and the accuracy of the information.

Step 7: License Grant

Following the completion of the inspection, the inspector may contact you for a personal interview. The controller of drugs gives the Drug License after verifying that all information and documentation are accurate.
